It seems most children that experience stuttering eventually grow out of it, its a smaller percentage that stutter into teen years and adulthood. My dad stuttered as child but grew out of it and I suddenly started stuttering in my pre-teen years (11 or 12 I think) so I guess I was always meant to be a stutterer but it developed later.
