Greetings fellow stuttering enthusiasts! I know we all share a very irritating ... condition... with one another. Just up front, I want to say: I love you all. Truly. Stuttering is a unique, whatever it is. I dont want to call it a "disability" for myself, though I know for some, it is much more than just a disability. It is the insurmountable obstacle between me/you and "normal" human communication. it sucks. I hate it. You hate it. We hate it. However... This thread is tremendously interesting. I have observed in my 43 years of stuttering that I have never, not one time, witnessed a human being that has been in a musical mindset and ... singing, stutter. Not once. I dont know if there is a single example of that happening. I could be wrong. But I do believe there is something to the OPs metronome watch and that thing somehow ... idk... manipulating the brain to use, other parts of itself as the path way to speak. Idk.... I was crying... and like I normally do a few times a year, I search for other people who have our problem to feel less alone and found this thread. Thank you. You are on to something. As we all know from our experiences no doubt, there is no such thing as a "cure". We have to gather tools over our lives to lessen the resistance. Thank you.
