What If Your Food Is Causing Your Stutter?

What If Your Food Is Causing Your Stutter? I’ve had a stutter since I was 9 years old. Now I’m 30. Honestly, I don’t know the real reason why it started. I went to many speech therapists. I tried meditation. I took neurological and psychiatric medications. I did breathing exercises. From all of that, I maybe improved 20% only. But here’s something important about me — I pay attention to small details. That’s why, years ago, I started noticing that food was affecting my stutter. Everyone told me, “It’s just in your head.” They said there’s no medical proof and told me to go back to speech therapy. But I knew what I was feeling. Bread and dairy were giving me brain fog, depression, and anxiety. And yes, I’ve taken antidepressants before — I know what depression feels like. One day I decided to try something. I stopped dairy completely. No milk, no cheese, nothing from cows. And I stopped gluten too. No bread at all. The result? My stutter disappeared. Like someone pressed a button 😀 I know some people will say, “This isn’t medically proven.” And that’s true. But maybe medicine is looking in the wrong place — at least in my case. Am I still on the diet? No 😂 Why? Because it’s very hard. Everywhere you look there’s burgers and pizza. Please, just once in your life, try stopping dairy and gluten for 10 days. If you see no difference, just ignore this post. I don’t have a scientific explanation. I’m a software engineer, not a doctor. Maybe bread and dairy trigger something in my genes. Or maybe they wake up some old childhood trauma I don’t even remember. I don’t know. I’m just sharing my experience. Thanks for reading 🙏
