I first needed to understand that I have a stuttering brain. My brain is wired differently. For whatever reason my brain activates the Valsalva response causing me to have blocks and my stuttering behavior. I don’t want to activate my response but I don’t have any choice because my brain is in control. I needed to train my brain to not activate the response when I start talking. It is very difficult to change the way the brain functions. The brain will always want to maintain its comfort level which is stuttering. Try to get your brain to not activate the Valsalva response and have easy and continuous airflow to decrease your stuttering.
