Just started stuttering this week

Just started stuttering this week I have another post in a different subreddit, but long story short. I just started to occasionally stutter after I got discharged from the hospital and found out that I had been removed from my university's marching band. I have been advised to seek a specialist that can treat this, but I'm concerned that this could be part of a bigger problem.
