Stuttering and intonation/pauses/tempo Have any of you noticed that you have no personal, distinct way of speaking (like intonation, pauses, tempo etc)? I feel like I stutter less when I try to speak like someone I know, imitate their speech. I think I stutter less then because I follow a certain speech flow, the thing I don't have myself. I wonder if this is why stuttering actors don't stutter while on stage, they are not being themselves but imitate a certain persona
