Hey thought i would reply as a college student myself, finishing my bachelors this year. Look at it kinda like this, all the low-lives and assholes which is the main part of people who actually look down on people who stutter never makes it to college. The entire atmosphere of college is a LOT more "adult" than highschool, where everyone is just kids. I have (in relative to what i read on this page) a very heavy stutter, basically the first thing everyone notice about me is that im tall and i stutter. Of course people care, its quite few of us, but its veeery rare that people actually thinks less of you because you stutter and ive never experienced anybody bringing it up in a negative manner. You could also argue that people that thinks less of you because you stutter is people you really dont want to hang out with in the first place. College is a greate place, explore yourself and try to step out of your comfort zone a bit. Also i kinda disagree with the notion of hiding you stuttering but that might be a personal matter.
