In my opinion, it's all about how it's done. If the sole intention is to be a dick, then yeah, it's bullshit. If someone is actually clever about it and not insulting me, rather the situation, then I generally don't mind. I try to not get offended at this sort of thing. I find people get offended way too easily nowadays, and I feel I would be hypocritical to get offended at non personal remarks.
