So much this. My husband's parents spent a fortune on a custom DAF earpiece for him, and it does indeed feel like a miracle, but it's nearly impossible to use in loud/crowded environments. Like restaurants, parties, you know, places he really cared about speaking fluently. He'd usually just take it off at home or with friends cause it made the TV hard to watch, and hard to listen to a one-on-one conversation, and now he hasn't touched it in five years. We still have it though. Just in case?
