Hey there You can stutter and still have an amazing life. I know it can be really frustrating! Sometimes those blocks can be so unpredictable. I have a moderate/severe stutter. Some days and in some situations I'm really fluent and other times it is really severe for no apparent reason! Job interviews make everyone nervous but for those of us who stutter it can be much more stressful. I've had lots of them over the years. Some for entry level jobs, others for corporate executive level positions and promotions. I always prepared by visualizing myself being fluent and acing it. Practising with someone close to you might help. You can look up typical interview questions and have them act as the interviewer. I always started interviews by saying I have a stutter, but that it won't affect my ability to do the job. This takes the pressure off a bit right away! I tell myself they'd be lucky to get someone as qualified and capable as me. Just be yourself, take your time, and if more than one person is interviewing ( I've had interviews that were a panel of 6 or 7 people) focus on the person who seems the most friendly. Make lots of eye contact. If you have some blocks its no big deal, just keep going. Emphasize all of your good qualities and what you have to offer. Don't be discouraged if every interview doesn't result in a job. This happens to people who don't stutter as well. Every interview is good practice. I'm married, had 3 kids, work as an accountant for the government and have a great life. Everyone has problems, some are just easier to hide. You got this!!
