Yes, volentarely stuttering ist a great way, to deal with it. On one hand such technique called fluency shaping (there are other techniques as well) can help you to accept your symptoms and you learn how to stutter in a more relaxed way. This way you can improve your comprehensibility by a lot, since the biggest factor hindering your comprehensibility is often not the stuttering symptom itself, but the habits you tend to do while stuttering (strong head/ eye/ body movement, and a general tautness etc.) You can look up van riper, he was a stutterer and speech therapist who was one of the first who founded such techniques and in general stuttering therapy. However, there are other great therapies as well. but volentarely stuttering is oftentimes a part of it. I am studying speech therapy in germany, so I am not an expert and I am learning about stutter therapy. I would highly recommend any stutterer, who wants to improove their symptoms and dealing whith stuttering to go to a speech therapy. There you can learn how to properly lean such techniques. I think its difficult to do it without a therapist. I dont know how it is in America, but in germany you can get a recepy for a speech therapist, if you request it while visiting a Doctor.
