I heard it subconsciously tied into how you think others will think or view you. you have to take stuttering as like a panic attack. Once you feel like an episode is about to hit, go towards it.. In fact hope that you do stutter, hope that you do make a fool of yourself. You cant fight it and you certainly cant keep running from it so you must embrace and allow it to run its course.
