Everyone who has both talked to me and read what I've written knows that I'm a much better writer than I am a speaker. I'd consider myself an almost-moderately-ok writer (which is certainly a lot better than most people on the internet, so I've managed to use that to my advantage sometimes), but when I talk, I can't find words for anything. That's not even the cause of my stutter, but I sometimes wonder if it isn't related somehow. Another interesting note: I have trouble getting my full potential recorded with typing tests because I never type a lot of words in a row. Usually I stop midway through the sentence, delete a couple words, and then type more out, then repeat, almost like a stutter (except I stutter more often than that when I speak, usually). I wonder if it's not my fingers just working faster than my brain, the same way my mouth works faster than my brain.
