For example, after my first week of doing this I was sitting and had a vivid memory of middle school pop up of a stuttering incident that I long buried. It was like I was living it again but as an adult with a much different perspective. I hadn’t thought of this memory in years. There was so much relief from that moment on. It didn’t solve my stutter by any stretch but it started building my acceptance. During this time I was going to speech therapy and also met with a regular therapist but breath work and sitting allowed me time and space to put everything together. It is the only thing I still do today.
