Yeah, I work at my local government/public hospital, since I'm new I get to work at different areas before settling in at the one I want; I just got done working at the outside pharmacy, where patients who are not hospitalized or just went for a checkup get their medicine for free, so I had to speak to a loooot of people daily, answer question, give them instructions, etc. Yes, I had bad days but after a week or even less I got the gist of it and didn't stutter as bad or at all some days. What I noticed that it helped was to greet every patient with a smile, maybe small talk a little bit about the weather or whatever, that helped to "grease the groove" and not get stuck on my words. Another thing that helped was to breathe before getting to work, while I was driving there I breathed, I sang some songs or talked to myself (I stutter sometimes even when I'm just talking to myself), so doing any of these helped me throughout the day. Hope this helps you a bit and congrats on the new job : )
