Therapy has helped me to a degree. I was in speech therapy from preschool to about the 5th grade that helped a lot. I went from pretty much not being able to talk and using 'um' after nearly every word to being able to talk decently. I didnt know of any therapy I could go to after 5th grade so I just didnt go to any. I found out my college actually had a speech therapy program (for both students and kids in the surrounding area) that I went to. It helped a little, learned a few techniques but thats about it. I have a few of my own methods, like careful_my_bones said, I know which sounds I'll stutter on so I avoid them when possible, which also makes some of what I say sound a bit odd.
