I'm 18, lifelong stutter as well. I don't know if anyone else does this, but I use my stutter like people used twix bars in those commercials. Whenever I'm in an awkward situation, or if I'm asked a question I don't know how to respond to, I'll "stutter" until I figure out what I want to say. People can't tell I'm not really stuttering, and even if they suspected it wasn't real they'd never call me out on it. I can't tell you how many times I've done this, and it's always really funny to me. On a more serious note, Its taught me to not let fear rule my life, and to have joy even in sucky situations.
