For me, the more I tried not to stutter, the more I stuttered. I made this post about it yesterday if you'd like to read some of what I've gone through: https://www.instagram.com/p/DJ7f8GEhjc0/?igsh=eXZpZHFjYmg1cDZu Stuttering is also variable and just kind of has a mind of its own. Sometimes the changes are due to things, but sometimes it's just random. Or out of our control. Like I know a lot of people, myself included, who stutter more right before our periods. I've also met people who think they stutter more when it's rainy out. It's a catch 22 where for a lot of people, like myself–we stutter less when we stop caring about our stutter. But we can't do that by TRYING to get rid of our stutter, otherwise we still care. And that doesn't happen for everyone.
