Yes. I'm seasoned enough in the field enough to interview other engineers. I would say I've given at least 20 or so interviews (Probably more). It's actually not that bad cause I just ask questions and then assess their answers. I follow the same tenets in that I don't assume they will understand me and i will make sure they do before they answer questions. It's cause I've had shitty interviews when the interviewer talks so fast or mumbles and gets mad at you for not understanding so I don't want to be that person and give the person a fighting chance. It's also the power dynamic. I'm less nervous when I'm interviewing someone and they aren't the ones judging me so it's a lot less pressure. If you're asking if I ever interviewed someone who has a stutter, I have not. But some people get so nervous that they stutter. Honestly, being in the field this long, I've worked with one other person who has a stutter and people don't really care. All that matters is that you are aware of your limitations and you focus on communication rather than speed. What matters is that you make people feel comfortable and don't think about yourself as much. Being able to communicate your points is something that everyone has problems with. I know people who don't stutter but are really bad communicators. You would ask them a question and they would drone on and on... Or some people would speaks really fast with accent and I have no idea what they are saying. The person that stutters speaks slowly and directly and he leads an engineering team.
