I find it very hard to talk right when I cant hear myself well or at all I've always been told that covering up my ears or not hearing myself talk can help with speech and stuttering but when I tell people this has the opposite effect on me they just shrug, I first noticed it in the military when I wore ear protection and it made it feel a lot harder to communicate with my coworkers, now it makes me genuinely feel insecure about whether people online think I'm just stupid and cant talk right when I'm talking to friends on discord I have to keep one ear free to give myself a modicum of comfort but I don't feel it fully solves the problem at all
