Indian and African parents are a trip! Optics are totally different. What a westerner sees as control, we see as extreme concern. His parents like her well enough and since she will be living primarily with them while he is away at work. Everything you said is right though. I think that with patience and love he will be able to bring her out her shell and perhaps help her realize her full potential- professionally and personally. And I think, knowing him, if nothing changes, then he is the best person to walk with her through her life on this earth. From what I've heard, she is truly a kind and special sort of girl and he feels so lucky to be able to court her. He doesn't feel like he is doing her a favor but rather the opposite, he feels blessed to be able to know her and be a part of her life and maybe her future as well. Honestly he is such a good dude. He brought tears to my eyes on the phone this morning. I wish everyone here can find someone just like that.
