I had a private speech therapist when I was 16 (I'm now 24). Had one as a result of being displeased with the regular speech therapy on offer from my local doctors. The thing that was highlighted most to me was my breathing (or my lack of conscious breathing). Learning different breathing exercises and incorporating it into my speaking was the best thing I gained from it. But talking about re-framing to think more positively about your speech can take me forever to explain. So I made a small video talking about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTJ-f5gq8xM Aside from that, you'll notice change when you being to feel more comfortable in situations you were more nervous in before. It's an unnoticeable change - it just happens. Guess you'll need to observe your interactions very carefully to determine your progress. Hope this helps :-)
