Hey, here's my real-world advice from my own life: the people at work, and in your neighborhood you say are rebuffing your attempts to make plans. The thing is, we can work to make new friends at any time. I know what is involved, and how hard that may seem. I used to take lots of comfort in knowing that people who I met as new friends, could see me for who I am now.
