I get your point. It's annoying. Also it's totally normal to want that patience and respect from others when you give that to others, too. I think most people don't know how to deal with it. Doesn't mean they mean to be rude. Sometimes they want to help you and finish your sentence for you so you don't have to struggle more. And yes, there are still people who are jerks. But I guess they will be like that with others, too. If people who are closer to you do that, maybe you could talk about it with them. Tell them how you like them to react when they notice you have a blockade or something.
