My son is getting all sorts of secondary behaviors as he tries to control his stutter. Sometimes it sounds like he’s hyperventilating. Our SLP has him focus on “tummy out” and that helps a lot (when he remembers- I know that using speech tools is a LOT of conscious effort and not feasible all of the time). I second the meditation practice. It helps deal with life in general and I am more aware of my breathing and the tension I hold in my shoulders. (I’m a mom of a PWS and not a PWS so discard anything that doesn’t resonate. You know yourself the best. )
