I finally met a stutterer I have a hobby of building and selling 2nd hand computers, and I've had a stutter my entire life. One day a very friendly lady probably in her early 40s come to my front door and I'm doing the usual telling her about the PC and if she has any issues just let me know. Then when she tried asking me a few questions she stutterered, then stopped herself, and said sorry and instead said "its fine" or asked something else. It was actually really sad because it's like I was watching myself in 4th person, like in someone else's perspective. And I immediately just wanted to give her a hug. I obviously did not say anything and stood smiling slowly nodding my head so no pressure was felt towards her. I think I might've mentioned to her I have a stutter as well to make her feel a bit better, but honestly don't fully remember as it was a bit overwhelming for me.
