Been there, done that. I've actually had teachers roll their eyes at me when I've stuttered. Some people in this world are heartless but there are just as many that want to lend a helping hand. That's nice of your English teacher to take the time to help you, I would have taken that from anybody back in jr high/ high school! The good news is that is gets better. Good luck!
