I thought I was the only one. For the most part, it bothers me because I start feeling the struggle of how hard it can be to get some words out. When I see the physical strain that they are having, I get a bit self conscious, and start thinking how other people see me when I stutter. I have a mild stutter, and am not very open in wanting to discuss it. Seeing others makes it blatantly obvious to me that I have a speech problem no matter how I try to hide it, or not admit it to myself. Also, as I mentioned, I am not really comfortable with opening up about my stuttering with others, so when I hear someone else stutter, I'm not sure what to say (whether I should just ignore it, or try and reassure them) because I don't know how open they want to be about their stutter.
