Friends are overrated imo..I had alot of "friends" ppl I associated with in my late teens early 20s and they all basically lowkey didn't respect me probably because of my speech and 2 backstabbed the shot outta me & they where close friends....I think getting into a stutterers group and making friends there might be promising. But even then if you start improving in general they might get jealous who knows...but if you want to make friends and give it a shot you both should share a common Hobbie...I hope it works out well for you. But be careful..take it from me. My worst enemies & haters have been my friends because I was vulnerable & shared my problems/pain with them. Unless you find a real solid good person to call a friend it can be a invite for problems/pain in your life. Nothing wrong with socializing but be carefull who you hang with. In my experience alot of younger aged normal speakers see stutterers as nervous clowns that they can use & not take seriously. So keep an eye out
