For me personally, trying to be fluent was the worst way to live my life. Once I realized that I can show my stutter to others, a huuuuuuuuge burden lifted off my chest. Nowadays I stutter confidently, and I regularly present in from of 50-100 people, speak in meetings all day etc and stutter while doing this. In the past, when I was anxious about my stuttering, it felt like the whole world was judging me for my lack of self esteem. But now that I present myself confidently, nobody seems to bat an eye or care that I stutter.
