I didn´t want to say he should pressure their providers to put them on a certain medication. Sorry if I didn´t know how to express well, I mean that there are a lot of psychiatrists that don´t have knowledge about stuttering and even they say it´s nerves and not even consider prescribe a drug even if speech terapy is not effective for you. I´m sure a good psychiatrist will prescribe something if you really need it, the severity of your stuttering is bad, and speech terapy doesn´t work. I just wanted to say that. The brand I said is for a food supplement, not a drug. It´s a food supplement you can buy anywhere even in a shopping centre. It´s the same if I say for example "I recommend the chocolate cereals from Special K brand, it has vitamine C and E" Personally I think that saying: You could try "x" drug, it´s proven that it decreases stuttering "credible peer-reviewed citation" (removed) and saying "x" substance is proven to decrease stuttering "credible peer-reviewed citation" (not removed) it´s basically the same and will cause the same effect in the person that reads it. I think that if the "you could try" is accompanied by a credible peer-reviewed citation and good intentions (like saying it has a risk and never giving dosage insructions or any shit) But okay, I understand it. No problem my friend :)
