I don't know of any research that places blame or guilt on specific persons like that. Rather, there are different settings that might influence your degree of stuttering, and of course, there are different people who might appear in those settings. Perhaps something else is going on that's primary, which in turn influences your stutter (as a secondary), but that's not really for us to say. We're not able to speak from a diagnostically related capacity like that.
