Do you have a NSA group near you? Can you join some Facebook support groups? What city are you in/ near? If you could find some safe spaces to make friends it might make it easier to branch out and when you have real friends it’s easier not to care about the jerks. Does meetup.com still exist? There are a lot of jerks in this world. They don’t see beyond themselves and they don’t have awareness. The gamer community is pretty open. Follow what you enjoy. Seriously.
