I found speech therapy incredibly beneficial! My advice is to choose a speech therapist that specializes in stuttering. I think those that are specialized in stuttering have the CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competency - Speech Language Pathology) and BCS-SCF (Board Certified Specialist in Stuttering, Cluttering and Fluency) credentials.
