The each session with the Therapist was about 1 hour long, and during the session the therapist would engage through conversation while they played board games, or did other hands on activities. When my son would stutter, the therapist would just tell him that his "speech was a bit bumpy" and ask him to repeat the sentence. For us, we were to engage in a conversation with him at home, for only about 10 minutes where we would indicate that his "speech was a bit bumpy" and ask him to repeat the sentence (mimicking what the therapist was doing). Outside the 10 minutes, we would not bring attention to the stuttering.
