Believe it or not a lot of Hollywood actors have stutters that they claimed they more or less cured by acting in plays and eventually films. They say they acted as someone without a stutter which tricked themselves into thinking they didn't have one. I would say if you have an interest in it to give it a try, you'll probably know in rehearsal if it works for you or not
