not 100% true. In our childhood, particularly if you have very negative experiences, our reactions get built into our fight or flight system, and a pattern begins. Our body sends involuntary responses that are very hard to control. So cognitively, you can gain more sense of control, but somatically, it can be very different. With that being said, it can slowly be reversed, but it's not a flip of a switch.
