Hmm. I don't have many friends. In fact, I can only call two people my best friends and they both live somewhere else, so I have no friends that I hang out with very often. I don't feel isolated because I live with my family, so there is always company. My work colleagues are awesome too, so I have a good time there as well. I am also heavily into gaming so that keeps my time. Honestly, I don't know how you can change it around. It's easy to say 'go and mingle' but fuck that, it's harder than it looks. But in order to keep yourself occupied, do something fun!
