Yes, my daughter stuttered briefly when she was 2 and she no longer does it. She was a very early talker and has always been a fast talker. My issue now is my 2 year old son is beginning to talk more clearly, but he stutters. It's not really bad, but it is there. All I can say is, I am not sure if stuttering is genetic. When I would tell my daughter to slow down when she talked she was able to get rid of her mild stutter. I wouldn't worry about it too much, man. I'm sure it will work out in the end, whether your child stutters or not.
