Alarmed by your number of upvotes, how does it make sense as a motor skill issue when the vast majority of stutterers don’t stutter all the time or when they are alone? I can speak pretty much fluently when I am alone but have stutterer my entire life. I have always seen it as a sensory disorder where that section of the brain becomes overwhelmed or different neurons are activated when you have an observer.
