Yeah, it's conplex in nature, but I truly believe it's totally related to our nervous system, and how safe it feels with expression. Some kinda nervous system freeze response. Perhaps a combination of ancestral trauma, or environmental factors in our lives. Learned nueral pathways.... and/or being HSP, Hyper sensitive person. The brain tends to want to freeze my vocal cords especially under stress, like it’s trying to protect me.
