Can you cite research demonstrating the link between testosterone and developmental stuttering? I tried doing a little digging but I’m not sure if I was finding the well accredited studies. I read something about increased sensitivity to testosterone or something in regards to stuttering, maybe you could clarify what I’m talking about more for me? The reason I ask is because I’m a transgender man who stutters and I was taking a typical dose of testosterone for over a year when all of a sudden my T levels skyrocketed. I had to lower my dose to maintain within range values. Eventually I switched to an endocrinologist who’s been providing trans healthcare for 35 years. We just tried going back to my initial dose because he didn’t believe that all of a sudden my levels would just go up like that (my sensitivity would increase). It’d be cool to share this research the next time I see him 🙂 might be valuable if it happens again. Thanks for sharing
