I think that my speech therapist don't know what shes doing I started this therapy about 1 year ago and I thought several times about quitting it and looking for another therapist but always when I was about to quit my family told me "you need to be patient, give her a chance and wait" but now 1 year has passed and I didn't feel any improvement in my stutter, and the exercises she prescribes me to do at home are pretty much the same as the ones in the beginning. She didn't teach me any fluency shaping stuff, just neck exercises, diaphragmatic breathing, and mouth articulation exercises (these all are good but I expected more since there was almost 1 year of treatment) You guys have been through a similar situation? Is changing speech therapists until you find a good one normal? Have you ever thought that your speech therapist had no idea about what he was doing, zero experience with treating stutters, and was just fucking with you to get your money? How was your treatment with a speech pathologist? Was it like mine? or was it completely different with different exercises and techniques? Thank you all for the attention, you guys in this community are really kind and I was very lucky to know this place. God bless us all, we all gonna make it!
