Will olanzapine(zyprexa) reduce my Stuttering? Recently I went to a psychiatrist for treating my anxiety and depression and I told him that stuttering is effecting my life a lot.so he said to me that there is a medicine known as olanzapine (zeprexa) which has been clinically trialled for treating stuttering and my doctor even shown me the report itself and it says it reduces our stuttering to a great extend but there is a downside he said that there is a high risk of weight gain like he said it I will gain 20-35lbs within 6 months (that's an guarantee he said )but he anyway prescribed me the medicne and it has only been 3 days since I had taken the medicine and I can feel it's effect on my speech the blocks are getting easier to overcome( easy to say) so I have high hopes in this medication but the catch is that this medicine will take 4-6 weeks to show it's full effect so fingers crossed....so if anyone had experience with this medicine as if they had tried it to reduce their stuttering please comment .
