Eventually, the idea is that you're fully comfortable with your stuttering issues and subsequently do not care about what others say or think about it. And I'll tell you what: 99% of the people you'll hang around or speak with do not mind at all, seriously. But this desensitization is one hell of a process. It requires small steps and takes a lot of time. Think about it: what are your current worries and emotions towards your stuttering? What *do* you feel comfortable about? Try to discover what your current comfort zone is and expand it step-by-step. Again, this is a psychological process that is as intense and hard as it gets, but eventually you'll get there.
