I tried to speak my mind to a friend, and he basically said that "I don't think it's very bad, I'm not that disturbed by it.". I'm sure they don't mean anything bad, the opposite actually, but it would be so eazing to feel understood I really connected with this. Whenever I open up to someone about it, I get the same response. People don't realize that it's more than what is on the surface. It's what you don't say; it's the work it takes to say basic things. An iceberg is a great metaphor for it.
