At the risk of sound discouraging, there is the very real fact that you might not do well, but of course I'm sure you are well aware of that. Few things can be more discouraging than completely fucking up and sounding like a babbling fool in front of people you are trying to impress. In university I actually did a lot to overcome my stutter (particularly with public speaking). Was able to give long talks to large groups of people with barely stuttering at all. The key to it I think was being confident, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about what I was talking about. Some people say that there stutter goes away when speaking in a foreign language, but in my foreign language classes my stutter always got much, much worse, perhaps because I was never that confident in knowing any of the languages I took. Anyways, good luck. The more you do it and put yourself out there like that, the less anxiety you will have about it in the future.
