One of the best things about yoga is that it forces your body into stressful postions, and the only way to make those positions less stressful is to clear your mind and breathe freely and deeply. This trains you subconscious mind to better deal with stress, mental or physical, in other situations throughout your life. After doing it a few times you start to understand why people have been doing for thousands of years.
