I’m sorry but some people here really need to speak to a professorial or upgrade their mindset, respectively. I have a moderate to sometimes VERY severe stutter, also 25 and didn’t get approved for speech therapy. Yes, I have been rejected so many times and didn’t get to do things I wanted to in the past but guess what? I NEVER gave up. Today, I work as an investment banking analyst on Wall Street, found a beautiful gf who accepts me for who I am, including my stutter, have 2-3 close friends who accept me as well, and honestly, I am happy with life. Yes, these things didn’t come easy and I was rejected a ton for jobs, parters, etc but eventually, it all worked out. And most importantly, I work on my speech by myself, everyday. I do diaphragm breathing every morning and read out loud as well. There are ways to work on it without a speech therapist. All this has helped my confidence. You guys need to remember the one beautiful gift stuttering gave us: PERSEVERANCE. Not many people have it. Rooting for each and every one of you fellow PWS! We got this!
