I have had a stutter at least since I was 5 years old. Today I am 19 years old, and still have problems with my stutter. I don't have a problem reading when alone, but I do when reading to others. It doesn't matter if it is my family, friends, or my class. I believe stuttering is a very individual thing, as we don't stutter in the same way, on the same words or in the same situations! I do however try to speak in front of an increasing amount of people every year, as I attend a speach therapy camp as a guest every year. While there, I have the possibility to speak freely about my stutter to the persons attending, and I believe that is the key to develop as a person: To be able to speak in front of a larger group of people about a subject you are comfortable speaking about!
